Dance does not necessarily reduce falls even if it can reduce some of the risk factors for falls – review of evidence from the Older People and Frailty Policy Research Unit
eThe Edinburgh Steady Steps programme has been running for a few years and they have published a robust evaluation of their programme. This 16 week programme has been evaluated in 136 participants over a 19 month period and has shown clinically important improvements in falls risk (functional tests: Timed Up and Go, 180 deg turn, Functional Reach; Questionnaires: COnfBal, EQ5D). They have published their results in Disability & Rehabilitation (2018). Unfortunately this is not an open access paper but the abstract gives most information.
