We have had a great response to our LLT Statement on OEP/PSI Implementation which had 10 simple key messages for commissioners of services and funders of programmes and training in falls prevention exercise.
LLT have 14 years of experience working with services across the UK and into Europe. From implementing and evaluating the first falls exercise service set up in South West London to supporting many services in their training and evaluation requirements over many years. Over time we have also learned many lessons of what features of a programme are successful and have seen many instances of poor returns on investment when key fidelity features of successful programmes are ignored. Training in delivery of these interventions for either primary or secondary prevention of falls will contribute to the success of programmes. This means the right training for the right people delivering exercise to a heterogeneous older population, that fits the intended outcomes.
We now provide guidance and answer frequently asked questions on training implications for successful programme delivery.
We have also just issued a statement on our work with Dance to Health on the implementation of PSI/OEP as dance and its use as follow on classes. You can read our Statement here.
